The Campo Verde Reforestation project is an expansion of the existing VCS-certified project Reforestation of pastures with native species in Ucayali, Peru developed by our partners Bosques Amazonicos (BAM).
Widely viewed as a best-practice model for tropical forestry and sustainable development, this award-winning project has seen 1,000 hectares of degraded pasture reforested with two million valuable native trees. Now we want to build on BAM’s existing experience and help local farmers by restoring approximately 50 to 100 hectares of degraded (and in some cases abandoned) land with native tree species in mix regimes. The newly reforested land will be added to the existing project for carbon accreditation purposes.
When you plant a native tree in this project, you will receive also one carbon offsets of a REDD+ project.
